The Hedrick student body
was host to a meeting of stu
dent body officers of other
schools around Medford. Tie
officers met to discuss what
each school is doing about
their problems and to get new
ideas from other schools.
Officers representing Hod
rick were president, Max
Guilcy; vice president, Dick
Thcriolf; secretary, Leslie
Barker; treasurer, Ed Mcnc-
kc; sergeant at arms, Craig
Shephard; historian, David
Brennen, and student council
reporter, Susan Boals.
The ninth varsity basket
ball team had a successful sea
son this year. They had an un
defeated season for the first
time in years. The coach, Bar
ney Riggs, was satisfied with
the team as a whole. The
five on the first string includ
ed Bruce Bertrand, Bill Col
lin, Ron Schwindler. Mike
Farthing, and Bob Dames.
Hedrick played MacLouuh.
lin twice and beat them both
times. The second game they
played against them was won
in an over time. Hedrick also
played North and South
Grants Pass, Ashland, Lincoln
Klamath Falls.
Loughlin in first. Don Slroh
was coach for the team.
The ninth grade basketbell
team played the faculty at
Hedrick recently. The faculty
won. Barney Riggs, who play
ed for the faculty, forgot to
turn In his eligibility slip.
The varsity yell leaders were
dressed in the "crubbies."
The Hedrick annual staff
has been working to get the
book done on time. This year's
annual is going to be dif
ferent from the other annu
als. The advisor is Ray Lewis.

to a 33-year old Neapolitan
woman.

tions in the birth althoimh it

The quads weighed about 1

Wednesday marked the 13th
anniversary of its "ten most
winted" program, which has
brought bad luck to 164 of
174 criminals who have been
placed on the list.
In compilation of the over
all record, the FBI noted that,
on the average, a fugitive is
caught 149 days after becom
ing one of the "most wanted."
Fourteen of the wanted
men were captured In 1962 -five
of them after being on
