Couple Joins
Relatives for
Group Reunion
Mr, and Mrs. Earl Troxcll
Tinglcy, Iowa and Mr. and
Mrs. Wayne Troxoll, 1833
Soulh Peach street, left for
Hood River March 2 to attend
a reunion of the Troxcll bro
thers and sisters.
The Earl Troxclls left
Iowa In mid-February, mak
ing their lirst stop in Lake
view to visit his brother and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Vcrn
Troxcll for a few days. The
two families then proceeded
to Bend where all of the broth
ers and sisters met for the
first time in ten years and
made pluns for their reunion
this week end in Hood River
where other members of the
family will also Join them.
They were with his sister and
family, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde
Baldcrston, while in Bend.
Steve Baldcrston, their
nephew, continued to Med
ford with the Iowa family
where Ihcy have been guests
uf relatives.
A family dinner was held
nl the Wayne Troxcll home
Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Max Goblc and Mr. and Mis.
David Harbison and families
of Eagle Point Joining them
for the day.
Following the family re
union in Hood River, the Earl
Troxclls will slay with his
sister and family, Mr. and
Mis. Charles Smith for a few
days, later returning to Iowa.
Mr. and Mis. Wayne Troxcll
will return to Medford on
Monday.

only 130 calorics to a pound,
it is a good source of vitamins
B and B2, contains some vit
amin A as well as lime and
iron and keeps most o f i t s
food value when cooked
quickly.
Here is a recipe which is a
quick and delicious way of
preparing cabbago with an un
usual flavor that comes from
the addition of saulernc, a
light, whitr dinner wine.
Creamy Cabbage is a recipe
you will want to clip and use
often.
CREAMY CABBAGE
Three tablespoons butter or
margarine; two quarts thinly
sliced cabbage; one-fourth cup
saulcrlnc or other white din
ner wine; one teaspoon instant
minced onion or, one table
spoon finely chopped onion;
one-half teaspoon caraway
seeds; one teaspoon salt, and
one-half pint commcrical sour
cream.
Melt butter in a large skil
let. Add cabbage and cook
over high henl, turning cab
bage constantly with a spat
ula, or about two minutes or
until cabbage is reduced to
aboi't one-half original bulk
Do not brown. Add all remain
ing Ingredients except sour
cream; cover, turn heat low
and steam two minutes.
Remove from heat, add
thrce-fouiih cup sour cream
and mix lightly. Turn Into
serving dish und top with re
maining one-fourth cup sour
cream.

Couple Observe
Anniversary
Yreka Mr. and Mrs.
Louis E. Goerges, former
Yreka residents, celebrated
their fiftieth wedding anni
versary March 3 at a recep
tion in Modesto, California.
The former Clara Julina
Olson and Mr. Goerecs were
married in Lily, Soulh Da
kola, March 5, 1013.
Mr. and Mrs. Goerges mov
ed to Modesto, Calif., in 1D17,
living there for 23 years, while
engaged in dairy farming. In
1940 Ihcy moved to Yreka,
and were in the dairy proces
sing business with their eldest
son here. In 1961 the couple
retired and moved to the
Lutheran Senior Citizms Vil
lage in Lancaster. Calif,
The hosts and hostesses
were the couple's six children
and their husbands nd wives
Curtis Goerges, Medford, Ore.,
Loras Goerges and Miss Ho
Goerges of Lancaster; Mr.
and Mrs. Buford Goerges and
