Classic Spoof Set
For Art Association
: The classic spoof of Ameri
can Western films, "My Little
Chickadee," will be shown
for Rogue Valley association
members at 8 p.m. Tuesday,
Feb. 10, in the Seminar audi
torium of Mcdford High
school. The film stars the late
W. C. Fields and Mae West.
Mr. Fields Is regarded by
many theater fans as the most
outstanding comedian ever to
be on the American stage.
His many vaudeville acts,
stage roles and movies are re
membered by millions. Miss
West, known as the "why
don't you come u? and see me
tome time" actress, is still
' being featured in stage pro
ductions and Is currently
playing In a Las Vegas night
club.
The film was made in the
late 1830s.
The association has booked
the French thriller film of
a bank robbery entitled "Re
fife" for March 19.

Youth Accidentally
Shoofs Self In Leg
A 19-ycar-old Central Point
youth accidentally shot him
self In the leu with his .22
caliber pistol Friday, the sher
iff's office said.
The victim, Billy Wayne

was hiking along Table Rock
rd. near Sams Valley and car
rying "a .22 caliber pistol in
his holster. He tripped, fell
and the gun discharged

Arrested by Officers
Two Central Point men
were lodged in the Jackson
county jail Friday by state
police on charges of taking
antique automobile parts
from a Cave Junction resi
dence. Arrested were William Dar
rell Williamson, 21, of route
1, box 202, Central Point,
and Willie German, 20. of
1694 Scenic ave., Central
point. They are charged in
connection with the theft of
parts from the garage of
Wayne Petsch In Cave Junc
tion, state police said.

the bridle paths, Mankin said.

being drawn up by the ban

4-H Extension agent, requests
a working committee from
JCHA to meet with the 4-H
club leaders in the district
and to work on a policy for
the 4-H clubs In the area.

leader for a 4-H club, the club
now has an existing member
ship of 35. Anyone knowing
of an eligible leader may con
tact Miss Hlllman at the West

association is to promote the
interests of horse and pony ac

Accident Reported
To State Police
An accident involving two
Ashland cars Friday night
near Ashland was reported
by state police, No injuries
and only minor damage re
sulted. A car driven by Charles
Edward Blocker, 68, of 720
Indiana ave., Ashland, had
stopped on Highway 99 to
push a disabled car, state po
lice said, when a car driven
by Josephine Haubert Fries,
806 Harmony lane, Ashland
struck it.
