Young and old alike enjoy the valentine season, and Medford shops are
filled with gay cards and messages or appropriate gifts. Shelley Edwards, 8,
daughter of the LeRoy Edwards, 2757 Ruth drive, especially enjoyed a visit
to Avan's shop last week for she was just out of the hospital and not yet
back at her classes in Phoenix school.

Candy is a favorite St. Valentine's day gift, and many Medford stores stock the hearl-shaped boxes

Throughout the years, paper Uce has re
mained one of the favored materials for a
valentine to be sent to a loved one or a spe
cial friend. Mrs. William Hoxie, clerk at Central
Rexall store, here displays a sample of one of
the shop's laciest and most elaboraie valen
tines. (
Mrs. E. V. Goff, worthy matron of Ncvita
chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Central Point,
was one of the customers al Swem's store last
week. She bought valentines to be given to
her chapter officers.
