Two Elections Set
In Talent Area to
Establish Districts
Talent Two elections that
will have a significant effect
on the future of this area are
scheduled in the Talent rural
area this week.
Tomorrow, voters in an
area south of the city will vote
on whether to form the pro
posed South Talent Sanitary
district. Polls will bo open
from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the
Resmore motel, on highway
80 about half a mile south of
the Talent city limits.
On Friday, voters in the
rural area around Talent and
also the south end of Phoenix
will vote on the formation of
the Talent Rural Fire Protec
tion district. The election will
be held at the old agronomy
station on Colvcr rd, also
from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Sanitary District
The proposed South Talent
Sanitary district would
stretch from the south city'
limits ot Talent to a point
south of Jackson Hot springs,
running between Interstate 5
on the cast and Old Pacific
highway on the west.
If voters approve formation
of the district, a three-man
board of directors would In
vestigate the feasibility of
serving the area with a sewer
