CUSTOM REVIVED - It seems to be an "OK" ration as far
as old soldier Walter Garrard, 82, is concerned at the Royal
Hospital in London. He's ready to down a chunk of cheese
during the annual Ceremony of the Christmas Cheeses. He
was one of some 80 pensioners who were served cheese, plus
beer and wine to wash it down. The ceremony is a revival
of a custom dating back to 1691. (UPI)
