Horseman's Group to
Be Organized Tuesday
A southern Oregon horse
man's association will be
formed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday
in the Jackson county fair
grounds cafeteria, according
to Larry Perry, 4-H horse
club leader and breeder.
The group also will discuss
possible fairgrounds facilities
for horse activities and pro
motion of a new county fair
grounds. Everyone interested
in horses has been invited to
attend, Perry said.

Probation by Court

was placed on probation and
imposition of sentence was
suspended for three years on
charges of uttering and pub
lishing a false check.

South Talent Sanitary dis
trict.

Jacskson county court.
The area in the proposed
district lies south of the city
of Talent between Interstate
5 and the Southern Pacific
railroad tracks as far south
as Jackson Hot Springs. Prin
cipally affected are residents
living along Highway 99 and
Old Highway 99 between the
Talent city limits and the
springs.
At Friday's hearing Judge
Earl Miller explained that the
voters in the area would elect
a board of directors at the
same time they vote on form
ing the district.
If the district formation Is
approved, the board elected
would in turn work out de
tails of inslalling a sewer
system, including methods of
financing, and could, if it
wished, change the bound
aries of the district.
Should the hoard find It
not feasible to Install a sewer
system, the district could la
ter be dissolved, Judge Miller
said.
