League of Oregon Cities at the
close of its three-day annual
convention here Friday.
Swanson succeeds Portland
Mayor Terry Schrunk as pres- i
idcnt of the organization.
Hugh McKinley, Eugene city
manager, and Eugene Bauer, !
mayor of Gladstone, were
elected vice president and
treasurer.
Delegates at the convention
adopted several resolutions in
cluding one calling for the re
peal of Oregon's controversial !
ambulance regulations.
. The regulations were passed
by the state legislature in
1961.
