OSU Selected To
Join In Program
Corvallis-Oregon State uni
versity is one of five U.S.
land-grant colleges selected as
participants in a new agricul
tural scholarship program
sponsored by the General
Foods Fund, Inc.
Under the program, OSU
will receive a total of $9,000
during the 1963-64 and 1964
65 for scholarships-mostly to
freshmenin food science and
technology, pomology and
vegetable crops, and agricul
tural engineering.
The program will start
with ten $400 freshmen schol
arships in 1963-64. Five of
the 10 recipients will receive
$200 study grants the follow
ing year also and 10 more
$400 freshman scholarships
will be awarded.
