Marjorie Elainp Wood and
Vance Howard Tinscth which
took place July 27 in the
Prineville, Ore., First Baptist
church. The Rev. Stanton Ir
ving performed the 8 o'clock
evening double ring cere
mony. The bride is a daughter of
Dr. and Mrs. Elon Wood,
Prineville, and the bride
groom is a son of Mr. and
Mrs. Helmer Tinselh, 1300
Queen Anne avenue, Medford.
The bridegroom has been liv
ing in San Jose, Calif., and the
young couple will make their
home in that city at 627 South
Ninth street, Apartment fl.
Dr. Wood gave his daughter
In marriage.
Gown of Organs
The bride wore a gnwn of
silk organza over taffeta trim
med with Alencon lace which
had been marie by the bride
groom's mother. Her veil of
nylon net and matching lace
was held by a headpiece of
white roses and pearls. She
carried a bouquet of peach
colored gladioli and wore a
strand of pearls which were a
gift from the bridegroom.
With her bouquet she carried
a handkerchief which had be
longed to the bridegroom's
great-grandmother.
Miss Janice Wood was maid
of honor for her sister and
bridesmaids were the Misses
Barbara Whittmer and Karcl
Sinclair.
They wore gowns of white
silk organza over peach color
ed taffeta and carried bou
quets of matching gladioli
with white chrysanthemums.
Donald Tinscth, Med ford,
was best man for his broth
er, and seating the guests I
were Harold Moore. Madras,
Ore , Terry Sherwood, Mil
waukie. Ore . and Donald
Wood, a brother of the bride.

guest 8 honoring Mrs. Cclia
Cloijston, 72 Reager street, in
observance of her 80th birth
day. The event was given by
Mrs. Jeffcry Clogston, a
daughter-in-law, and Mrs.
Boyd Dunford, a granddaugh
ter, and was held in the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Clogs
ton, also on Reager street.
Mrs. Martin Clogston also as
sisted with the event. About
90 persons attended.
Mrs. Clogston was born in
Severy, Kansas and has lived
for 32 years in the Medford
area.
Her children, all present for
the occasion, are Jeffery
Clogston, Martin F. Clogston,
and Frank II. Clogston, all of
Medford, and Mrs. Raymond
L. Clark, Yakima, Wash. Mrs.
Clark has spent a week visit
ing her mother.
The honored guest also has
six grandchidren and five
great grandchildren.

Mrs. H. A. Dierdorff, former
Gold Hill residents who now
reside at 2033 42nd avenue in
Oakland 1, Calif., will observe
their BOth wedding anniver
sary on Sunday, August 18.
An open house at the home of
their daughter, who resides
next door, will honor the
couple. Friends are invited to
call between the hours of 2
and 4:30 p.m.

former pastor of the Gold Hill
Community Methodist church,
In a letter to members of the
local church recalled that 10
years ago the church at Gold
Hill was being painted, clean
ed and plans were underway
for the social event of the
year, the golden wedding an
niversary of the pastor and
his wife. Now plans are being
made for the couple's 60th
anniversary open house to
which friends In the Gold Hill
church and community are
Invited to attend.
The minister reports both
he and his wife are in good
physical health. He says Mrs.
Dierdorff still spends much of
her time happily quilting and
he still teaches a class In Sun
day school.
A spokesman of the Gold
Hill church suggests that Ihose

or write to them at their home
address since they would en

Millers Make
Vacation Trip

two weeks vacation sightsee
ing and visiting relatives. In
Portland they visited Mr.
Miller's brothers and sislers-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur
Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Leo
Miller and Harry Miller.
While there they also were
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Harvey, a brother-in-law and
sister-in-law of Mr. Miller.
Among highlights of their
vacation was a boat trip from
Port Angeles to Victoria.
B.C., a stop was made at Nan
aimo, Canada and tours were
taken In Vancouver and Vic
toria, DC.
They also spent some time
at Yellowstone National park
and at Grand Coulee dam.

were guests of her nephew

August 8, was honored at an open house at the home of
her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Clogston,
Reager street. Mrs. Clogston, whose hobbies are sewing, gar

Family' Reunion Observes
Anniversary of Allisons
Mr. and Mrs. Ben F. Alli
son, 1U27 West Tenth street,
Medford, were honored Sun
day, August 5 on the occa
sion of their forty-first wed
ding anniversary, when a
family reunion was held.
Relatives from as far away
as Idaho and California at
tended. The event also observed
the birthday anniversary of
Mr. Allison, which was Au
gust 4.
Mr. and Mrs. Allison were
married in Winner, in the
the south-central part of
South Dakota, and they lived
near there until 22 years ago
when they moved to Medford.
Mr. Allison, now retired,
was engaged in farming in
South Dakota, and for a num
ber of years was employed by
the fire department at White
City. Later he was employed
by Jackson county. He served
in World War I.
The event Sunday was
planned by the couple's son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Russell Johnson, Med
ford. Another daughter, Mrs.
F. E. McPherson, Santa
Paula, Calif., could not be
here for the occasion.
Relatives Attend
Their son, Earl F. Taylor,
Mrs. Taylor and their daugh
ters, Mavis and Marda, came
from Project City, Calif., to
atlend; while their son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and
Mrs. E. J. Taylor, and daugh
ter, Mary Ann, were from
Central Point, and their other
son, F. H. Taylor. Mrs. Tay
lor and children, Nancy,
Kathy and Gene, were among
guests from Medford.

8 from Africa, where the

the Mt. Silinda mission school
in Southern Rhodesia. Mrs.
Reedy is Mrs. Renzema's
daughter.
They have visited friends
and relatives in Seattle and
Corvallis and expect to spend
a short time with Mr. Reedy's
mother in Tulare, Calif, Fu
ture assignment is dependent
upon conditions in Africa.
