Arretted Charles Wayne
Williams of Roseburg was
arrested by Medford police
Friday afternoon on a charge
of drunk in public after he
was involved in an auto acci
dent. According to police,
Williams' car struck a parked
car registered to Arnold W.
Brown, 326 Alice St., Med
ford, at 2:33 p.m. on North
Front St. between Second and
Jackson sts. Williams also was
cited for failure to leave name
and address at the scene of
an accident.
In Missouri Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Simcox, 1224 Winchester
ave., are in Cassville, Mo.,
where they were called by
the serious illness of his step
father, John Kisler. They are
expected to return during the
week.

James, one-month-old daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Orville
James, 1213 Iowa St., Ash
land, died at the Ashland Gen
eral hospital Saturday morn
ing.
Graveside services were to
be held today at the Ashland
cemetery beginning at 3 p.m.
The Rev. E. E. Crawford officiated.
The infant was born in Med
ford May 24, 1962.
She is survived by her par
ents; a sister, Georgia Lynn
James; a brother, Larry Or
ville James: and her grand
parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. F.
James and Mrs. Esther Sim
mers, all of Klamath Falls.
Litwiller s funeral home is
in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Hugh
Glen McGinty Sr., 71, of 1944
Stewart ave., who died Friday,
will be held at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday in Conger - Morris
downtown chapel. The Rev.
Wendell L. Wagler, assistant
pastor of the First Christian
church, will officiate. Com
mittal will be In Jacksonville
cemetery.
Mr. McGinty was born
March 11, 1891, in New Glos
ter, Maine. He was married
Jan. 19, 1917, in Acton, Calif.,
to Lucille Nystrom Quinlan,
who preceded him in death on
Sept. 28, 1951. He came to
Medford in 1933 from Cali
fornia, and started the Mc
Ginty fuel business. He oper
ated this until 194S, when he
retired and turned the opera
tion over to his sons. He was
married Nov. 2, 1953, in Med
ford, to May E. Heffner, who
survives. He was a member
of the Eagles lodge.
Surviving besides his wife
are four sons, Hugh G. Mc
Ginty Jr., Central Point; Clif
ford M. McGinty, Klamath
Falls; Edward A. McGinty,
Medford; Paul . P. McGinty,
San Francisco, Calif.; two
stepsons, Lowell Wellman,
Stockton, Calif.; Gerald Quin-
land, Shady Cove, Ore.; one
daughter, Mrs. Gloria Darley,
Anderson, Calif.; a sister, Mrs.
Alice Ellen Blais, Quebec,
Canada; and 12 grandchildren.
