Drew, in a ceremony held
June 9 at the Medford Friends
church
Pastor Clynton Crisman of
ficiated at the single ring
ceremony attended by 50 rela
tives and friends. Baskets of
roses decorated the altar for
the four o'clock afternoon
wedding. ' .
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a white
lace ballerina length dress
fashioned with long sleeves
and square neckline. The
skirt had an inset of pleated
tulle in the front and her
fingertip length veil was held
by a pearl headdress. Her
flowers were white rosebuds
encircling a white orchid.
Miss Bonnie Bonney, Drew,
sister of the bridegroom, was
maid of honor, and brides
maids were Miss Avis Lewis,
Tiller; Miss Sherryl Whetrel,
Days Creek, cousin of the
bridegroom; and Miss Betty
Newton, Tiller. Miss Bonney
wore a white lace frock over
pink taffeta and carried pink
carnations. The bridesmaids
wore nile green chiffon
sheath dresses over matching
brocaded peau de soie and
carried white carnations.

groom's cousin, was ring bear
er. Richard Bonney, Drew,
served as best man for his
brother. Ushers were Donald
Bonney, Drew, another broth
er; Roy Gardner, Coquille,
the bride's uncle, and Charles
Crumpton, Myrtle Point, the
bride's cousin.
Mrs. Crisman played the
organ wedding music and ac
companied Miss Terri Kostic,
Days Creek, soloist.
Following the wedding a
reception was held at the
home of Mrs. Charles Mannen,
2030 Spring street, Medford,
aunt of the bride. Assisting
with the serving were Miss
Deana Campbell, Tiller, and
Miss Margie Mannen, Med
ford. Miss Judy DePew, Klam
ath, Calif., was in charge of
the guest book.
The couple traveled to Dia
mond lake on their wedding
trip and are making their
home in Drew. The bride and
bridegroom attended Tiller
and Days Creek schools. He is
employed by the U. S. Forest
service.
The bride was honored at a
post-nuptial bridal shower in
the home of Mrs. Glann Rog
ers June 13. Games were
played at which Mrs. Richard
Bonney and Miss Jerry Jenks
were winners. Low score
prizes went to Mrs, Edward
LaVassuer and Mrs. Gilbert
Bonney. ' ; '-
After the bride had opened
her gifts refreshments were
served. Mrs. Joe Zimmerman
was co-hostess.

In Texas
Announced
News of it.terest here is the
marriage of Miss Bobbie Jean
Hale, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Hale, 808 Broad
street, Medford, to Jerry Edel
man on April 27 in Kilgore,
Tex. The bridegroom is a
son of Dr. rnd Mrs. William
Edelman of Tyler, Tex.
The 8 o'clock evening dou
ble ring ceremony was per
formed by the Rev. John
Shuttlesworth in the First
Baptist church.
The bride wore a simple
full-skirted dress with white
accessories and she carried
white orchids "d white car
nations on a white testament.
She wore a Star of David
with gold cross embedded in
the center, a gift of the bride
groom. Mrs. Dee Townsend, Long-
view, Tex., was matron of
honor and Billy Mike Flynn,
Tyler, was best man.
The couple make a wedding
trip to Dallas, Tex.
The bride was graduated in
1959 from Medford High
school and is a student nurse
at the Texas Eastern School
of Nursing, in Tyler.
The bridegroom attended
Tyler High school, and Tyler
Junior college for two years.
This fall he will attend Texas
Agricultural and Mechanical
college in Dallas. He is study
ing to become a veterinarian.
They are living in Tyler.
Association
Slates Film
The Rogue Valley Art as
sociation will present the
third in its international film
series Tuesday, July 26, at the
Red Cross auditorium when
it shows "Seven Samurai,
the Japanese film.
The film, described by
American critics as an "East
ern Western, concerns seven
hired knights (samurai) de
fending a vilh ze against 40
mounted bandits.
The American film, "The
Magnificent Seven," was bas
ed on the Japanese story ma
terial. Also shown will be a
Canadian short subject, "Cor
ral."
The showing is free and
will start at 8 p.m. Coffee will
be served.

Following Wedding Trip

Lloyd Ernest Wright are liv
ing at 513'4 Palm street, Med
ford, following their marri
age June 10 and a wedding
trip to Nevada.
The bride is the former
Miss Deneice Susan Thomp
son of Bel Air court, Phoenix,
daughter of Mrs. John McFar
lane of Nevada and the late
Jess Thompson. The bride
groom's parents are Mr. and
Mrs. Lloyd Wright, 1764
Springbrook road.
The ceremony was held at
2 o'clock In the afternoon in
the First Christian church,
Medford.
Miss Phyllis Bickers, Klam
ath Falls, a cousin of the
bride, was maid of honor, and
Miss Patricia Wright, a sister
of the bridegroom, was brides
maid. Jay Taylor was best man
and Allen Taylor was usher.

her in marriage. Her dress
was of white brocaded nylon
organdy with full skirt and
fitted bodice with cap sleeves.
She carried a white Bible

The attendants wore match
ing frocks of lavender cotton
satin similar in style to the
bride's dress. They carried
bouquets of small white chry
santhemums. Mrs. Ralph Matlack sang
the wedding songs.

themums. Mrs, Milderd Bickers, grand-
motner of the bride, gave a
reception immediately after
the ceremony in the church

Ekwall poured the punch.
Both are aunts of the bride
groom. Mrs. Wayne Williams,
and Mrs. William Bickers,
aunt of the bride, cut and
served the wedding cake.

Both the bride and bride
groom have lived their entire
lives in the valley. The bride
attended Phoenix schools and
the bridegroom received his
I education in the Medford
schools. He is employed hv
Kay Paper Products company.

Attend Reunion
Among those who attended
the reunion of the Medford
High school class of 1917 was
Mrs. Margaret Roberts, the
former Miss Margaret Mans
field, who came from Cayu
cos, a town near San Luis
Obispo, Calif.
Mrs. Roberts fa ther.
George A. Mansfield, built the
ranch home at Flounce Rock
ranch in 1914, which was the
Mansfield family home. Later
they moved to Medford. After
graduation here Mrs. Roberts
attended the University of
Oregon.
She was accompanied on
the trip by Mrs. Dorothy Fer
guson, also of Cayucos. They
have been houseguests of Mr.
and Mrs. Edward Leach, 1228
Corona avenue, and Mr. and
Mrs. Thomas Carlton, Gold
Hill. They also visited Mrs.
Roberts' former home at
Flounce Rock ranch and were
at Rogue River lodge for a
lime.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ray
mond and daughters, Cynthia
and Karen, are visiting here
this week from Costa Mesa,
Calif. They are with Mr. Ray
mond's parents, Mr. and Mrs,
Ralph Raymond, 2348 Table
Rock road, and also are visit
ing with her brother and sis
ter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Dwight Albright, 1R78 Or
chard Home drive. They are
accompanied by Mrs. Ray
mond's mother, Mrs. Lillie
Weathers, also of Costa Mesa
The visitors are former resi
dents, Mr. Raymond having
taught for nine years at Roose
velt Elementary school, and
Mrs. Raymond, the former
Miss Anna Weathers, was cm
ployed at the First National
bank, Medford branch. They
moved from here four years
ago.
In the fall Mr. Raymond
will he principal of one of
the Costa Mesa Elementary
schools.
RNA Groups Schedule
Picnic on Wednesday
Members of the Mistletoe
camp. Royal Neighbors of
America, the Mistletoe club
and the Juvenile camp will
meet Wednesday, Junp 27 for
a picnic at TouVelle park.

Church of Christ, has been
honored at two showers.
She is the bride-elect of
William Ray Anderson, son
of Mrs. lia Anderson, 1721
West 11th street. Medford,
and Ray Anderson, 844 Da

Friends of Miss Bennett
who are members of Central
Church of Christ attended the
shower held at the church by
the women's association. A
centerpiece of pink and white
roses and greenery was cen
tered by bride and bride
groom yarn dolls. Some 24
persons attended.
The other shower was giv
en by Mrs. Rena Hagler, aunt
of the bride-elect, and Mrs.
Ellen Jones, her grandmother,
at their home 244 South Cen
tral avenue. It was attended
by 14 relatives and friends.
In Montana
Ashland After a two
weeks visit in Montana, Mr.
and Mrs. Bruce Hoy and son,
Perry, 1662 Homes avenue,
and Mrs. Hoy's mother, Mrs.
Wayne Livingston, returned
recently. They were guests of
Mrs. Livingston's twin daugh
ters and families, the Harold
Laws of Thompson Falls, and
the Jay Hansons of Missoula.

of Postmaster and Mrs. Wayne
Cummins and Mr. and Mrs.
Jess Cummins was Cyril
Reed, Phoenix, Ariz. Mr.
Reed, now retired, was a high
school teacher of the Cum
mins brothers in Newton, 111.,
and had not seen them since
Wayne Cummins graduated
from high school 37 years ago.
While here, the visitor at
tended the party given at the
schoolhou.se Saturday evening
honoring Mrs. Ruth Cummins,
teacher in the local school for
the past 14 years. Mr. Reed
was an overnight guest at the
Wayne Cummins' home, leav
ing on Sunday to return to
Arizona..
