A movie star whose costumes usually reveal abundant sections
of her superb and well advertised anatomy, received this fan
letter, written in a childish scrawl: "You are beautiful. Please
send me your autograph and a photograph when you are not
wearing too much."
The star sent the picture, but asked in an accompanying note:
"Did you show your mother your letter before you mailed it to
me, and how old are you, anyway?" The fan's reply was, "In
answer to your first question, I did not. In answer to jour

Length of Time
For Turn Shorter
The length of time for car
movements making left turns
at the Riverside and Stewart
aves. intersection has been
made shorter, city officials
have reported that the green
arrows for left turn move
ments remained on about 12
seconds after the last car
moved through the signal.
Officials said the shorter
left turn signal should accom
odate the same amount of
traffic.
Vernon Thorpe, city engi
neer, said the signals at that
intersection are electronically
controlled and are activated
by pressure and magnetic
equipment according to the
amount of traffic.
