ston has done the choreogra
phy to depict the entire story

gram will be a variety of
songs and dances by children.

To Open
In Ashland
Ashland - Entries for the
Ashland Garden club's stand
ard spring flower show Satur-'
day will be accepted at the
Women's Civic clubhouse on
Winburn Way between 6 and
10 a.m. !
The show, "Garden of I
Memories" will be held from
1 until 7:30 p.m. Persons may
enter the club at the entrance
to Lithia park.
Mrs. E. A. Bay is general
chairman for the event.
Arrangement classes include
for the amateur: A. Memories
of Childhood, arrangement ,
featuring a childhood treas- J
ure; B. Widening Horizons, :
teen memories in a crescent
design; C. Memories of Social
Triumphs, a corsage; D. Ro
mantic Memories, predomi
nantly white arrangement for
a wedding reception; E. Mem
ories of Busy Years, a com
position suggesting one of
mother's chores; F. Memories
of Travel, arrangement sug
gesting a foreign place.
Advanced amateur classes
list the following: G. Mem
ories of Childhood, miniature
arrangement under 5 inches;
H. Memories of Dancing
Dates, a design emphasizing
rhythm; I. Memories of Trav
el, a design inspired by the
Orient; J. Memories of Ro
mance Married!, one design
in close color harmony using
two containers; K. Memories
of Family, a composition in
dicating the expanding family
circle; L. Modern Memories,
a modern floral arrangement.
The schedule for horticul
ture allows for any type of
home-grown specimen al
though iris will probably pre
dominate. Included are classes
for other garden clubs, other
women's clubs and juniors.
Prior to the opening of the
doors of the flower show to
the general public a mer
chant's lunch will be served
elsewhere in the building be
ginning at 11:30 a.m. A plant
sale will also be held.
A panel of accredited judges
will judge the show and first,
second and third prize rib
bons will be awarded in each
class.

be held at the Ashland Art
gallery, 31 Water street, Sat
urday, May 26 through
June 9.
The gallery is open from
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. daily.
Mr. Orcdson was graduated
from the University of Minne
sota and studied al the Minne
apolis School of Art, Univer
sity of Mexico. Harvard uni
versity and the University of
Washington. He has worked
with the Seattle and Tacoma
planning commissions, three
different architectural firms
and designed houses for Hiro
shima. Japan. He now has an
office in Ashland
