Combative sports, such as wrestling, are important to help boys develop strength
and agility. At the jamboree Mike Miller (at top) and George McNair engaged in a
demonstration match.
Planning the jamboree were Fred Spiegelberg (at left) coach and physical
education teacher ot Medford High school; Lee Ragsdale (center) superintend
ent of health and physical education for the entire Medford system and Glen
Schireman who will direct the program at Medford High school next year. . .-

Hoover school pupils demonstrated a folic dance. Singing games, rhythm exercises and
simple dances teach poise and balance and are a valuable social experience for

Jump slick relay races, which improve a child's running and jumping skills, were demonstrated at the jam
boree by Griffin Creek school pupils. Ted Lyons (cenlerof page) senior ot Medford High school gave a trampol
line demonstration; trampoline, bar work and other exercises are Incorporated Into gymnastic classes.
