Youth, 14, Dies
From Gun Wound
Ellensburg - il'PH- Terry
Melz. 14, Thorp, was fatally
wounded Saturday when a 22
caliber rifle accidentally dis
charged. The boy was on a camping
trip with a friend. Lee Gib
son, also 14. on the Yakima
river near Thorp, nine miles
west of here.
The youths were chasing
squirrels and birds when Gib
son's rifle accidentally dis
charged. The bullet struck
young Melz Just above his left
temple.
