of the club's seventh straight
victory.
O'Dell, 2-0, will face either
Tom Sturdivant, 1-1, or rookie
lefty Bob Vcale, 1-1, of the
Pittsburgh pirates, whom the
Giants bumped out of first
place Monday.
Gaylord Perry, a Giants
first oycarman, maintained
their fine pitching criterion
with a four-hit, 4-1 win over
the Pirates. ,

derful." Perry is the brother of Jim
