Ashland - Dr. Edward J.
Aschenbrenner, Eugene, dis

rel sts., Ashland.

fourth quarterly conference at
the church Sunday at 3 p.m.

of a series of Methodist tele
vision shows will be broad
cast on KMED-TV. The series

The Thursday evening study
group will discuss William

A Radiological Monitoring
course, presented by Dr.
Wayne Hood of Southern Ore
gon college has been com
pleted by three Jackson school
teachers.
They are Mrs. Lillian
Bohrer and Mrs. Sara Watson,
third grade, and Mrs, Ellen
DeVore, a fourth grade teach
er. Monitors, a member of the
Civil Defense team, keep in
communication with the Civil
Defense center. The monitors
relp to develop an overall pat
tern of the area under attack,
or where the drift fallout is
active, by making accurate,
regularly timed reports and
keep records of the intensity
of the fallout.
HANDICAPPED RACER

lost her race with a parking
meter but Municipal Judge
Ray Harrison waived the fine
when he learned of her "han
dicap." Mrs. Bullington said
her block-long dash to beat
the red flag on the meter was
slowed by the shopping bun
dles she was carrying, the
baby stroller she was pushing
and the 4 year-old daughter
she was leading.
