six wins against no losses yes
terday by defeating Ashland
4 to 2.
One doubles match was
halted by darkness and was
called no contest.
Medford took three singles
matches and one double tra
cas.
Gary Highland and Chris
Rasmussen won the first set
of their doubles test and for
Medford had Ken Stevenson
and Ken Mitchell down 5-2 in
the second set. However the
tenacious Ashland duo fought
and were going strong when
the set was halted at 7-each
because of darkness.

day in a freshman track meet.
Jim Consbruck won the 75
yard dash, the javelin and the
pole vault for Phoenix. Eu

and lied with teammate Lloyd
Campbell in the high jump.
Campbell took the broad
jump.
The Phoenix team had first

Parents Want
Moss To Quit
London (UPll The parents
of Stirling Moss, who was
seriously injured in an auto
racing accident Monday, said
today they would like their
son to give up racing.
The parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Moss, visited the Lon
don hospital where Moss is
still unconscious from his in
juries. A hospital bulletin
said Tuesday night "There
seems good hope for Mops
recovery."
"I hope that he will defin
itely give up racing," said the
elder Moss at his son's bed
side. "He may have to be
cause of his injuries."
"1 would like for Stirling
to stop after this," echoed
Mrs. Moss.
Moss was at the Atkinson
Morley Brain hospital at Wim
bledon, where he was taken
early Tuesday after crashing
at 120 miles an hour at the
Easter Monday race meeting
at the Goodwood racing circuit.
