MEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE, MEDFORD, OREGON
Council to Appeal Circuit Court Rule
Corvallis-IUPD-The Corvallis
City Council said Wednesday
It will appeal a Circuit Court
ruling which declared two
amendments to the city's zon
ing ordinance illegal.
. The council voted 7 to 2 to
appeal the ruling to the Ore
gon Supreme Court.
Circuit Judge Fred Mc-
Henry ruled last month that
amendments to the city's zon
ing ordinance, which would
no longer permit off-street
parking on land zoned for
residential use next to a com
mercial zone, were illegal.
He said the city failed to
show that the amendments
were for the public welfare.
