The only guys really sweating out baseball train
ing this season-are the teams' press agents. It's up
to them to maintain baseball's hallowed image of
the typical rookie--a semiliterate hick just up from
the farm. Here's how things are working out as
the leagues swing into the 1961 season:
High Cy Belden: Outfielder. Bats left-handed.
Hit .345 for Cornopolis last year. Noted for tall-tale
telling. Master's degree, Dartmouth, '59;- plans for
Columbia doctorate by '64.
Long Pants Patty Norman: Left-handed pitcher.
Went 35 scoreless innings with Highacres last year.
