search beneath the helicopter.
Snyder said there was a
possibility the red and cream
Piper Tri-Pacer could have
gone down at sea but it was
more likely it went down in
an inland area.

land, Public Utility Commis
sioner Jonel Hill said today.
Sunnyside said the funds
derived from the sale wduld
be used to finance a portion
of its 1961-62 construction
program.
The company serves about
1,500 subscribers In the Sun-nyslde-Dnmascus
areas In
Clackamas county and the
Yamhill-Lafayette area In
Yamhill county.

Sometimes, for example,

cate." Once you've put your
name on it, you have certified
that the work has been com
pleted. One of the sweetest deals-to
sour your bank balance - is
the model home scheme. The
salesman usually says it won't
cost much to patch up your
house, making it look like
something out of a builder's
magazine.
He offers to do it and will
give you a hefty discount if
he can use your home as a
model when trying to land
other contracts in the neigh
borhood. What's more, he'll
give you a commission on
every other contract he com
pletes after other customers
have seen your "model home."
Cheap Job
J. R. Hoffman, head of the
real estate division at the Na
tional Better Business Bureau,
said the "model pitch" is al
most epidemic in proportion.
The Bureau has just sent out
an alert on the racket to
chambers of commerce na
tionwide. From the sound of the
"model deal," there's a chance
you might even get your home

swindler's bag. They say
they'll do the work for less
than' a reputable contractor.
They do poor work, charge
more and you're the loser.

cently. The firm offered alu
minum siding for $295. The
aluminum siding was a paint,
or as a salesman for the firm
put it - a "coating pigmented
with aluminum."

your home from becoming a
naradise for the gyp artists?
The Better Business Bureau

Check on work that he has
done. Once you've establish-

bile physical therapy clinic of
the Oregon Society for Crip
pled Children and Adults
since the clinic was inaugurat

ber, 1959, according to Wil
liam R. Wells, Portland, soci
ety president.
Purpose of the traveling
clinic is to provide physical
therapy in areas of the state
where it is not available,
Weils said, explaining that
service is based on referral
and prescription of local phys
icians. The clinic is financed
through the society's annual
sale of Easter Seals, plus fees
from those who are able to
pay.

186 patients visited, Wells' re
port stated. She travels in a
station wagon and carries por
table equipment.
In addition to giving thera
py treatments, Miss Montgom
ery instructs members of the
family or friends on giving
specified therapy during her
absence.
Patients treated included ac
cident victims and persons suf
fering from arthritis, cerebral
palsy, strokes, frozen shoul
ders, bursitis, Bell's palsy,
congenital heart conditions,
Parkinson's disease, and polio.
