The Heart Line
Among the busiest women in Jackson county this week
are the Heart Sunday leaders, shown here as they make
plans for the big task of canvassing the community next
Sunday. Regarded as the high point of the annual Heart
fund drive, the efforts of 640 volunteers will be required
Mrs. Earl T. Johnson, 1412 Crown avenue, Medford,
(above) Heart Sunday chairman, has spent many hours
on the telephone in recent days in preparation for the
campaign. She has arranged for area chairmen, some
of whom are pictured here. Mrs. Johnson states that
to solicit contributions and distribute pamphlets giving -anyone interested in serving as a volunteer Sunday,
heart disease precautions.

Heart Sunday. Mrs. Duane Richardson,
1019 Mt. Pitt avenue, Medford (at left,
lower left) and Mrs. Lewis' McLaren Jr.,
702 Beekman avenue, are co-chairmen for
the Medford west side area. In addition
to the women pictured here, Mrs. Homer
Harris is chairman for the Talent area and
Mrs. Otto J. Frohnmayer and Mrs. Richard
Mole are co-chairmen for the North Side
area of Medford.
