Madrid - (UPB - On Jan. 29,
1960, an exiled former dicta
tor landed in Spain for what
appeared to be a temporary
stay of two or three months.
But, a little more than one
year later Juan D. Peron has
no apparent plans to leave
this country.
The man who ruled Argen
tina for 10 years arrived in
Seville, Southern Spain, from
Ciudad Trujillo with a suite
of four people. Only one of
them, his pretty blonde secre
tary, Isabel Martinez, now re
mains with him.
The first to leave was Al
berto Campos, a leading fig
ure of the underground "Con
sejo Superior Peronista"
(Peronista Board). He was fol
lowed by John Del Re, an
Italian-American photograph
er described as "a personal
friend."

The last was "Americo Bar
rios,", pen-name of the Arger
line writer, Luis Maria Abra
monte, who was one-time di
rector of the organ of the
Peronista party "Democra
cia." j
The whereabouts of the first
two are unknown, although it
is suspected that Campos is
hiding somewhere in Argeri;
tina.
Barrios is reported to be
living in Montevideo, Uru
guay, where he was sent by
Peron when the position of a
union leader over the party's
policy threatened to break the
unity in the Peronista ranks.
Peron has changed his resi
dence several times since his
arrival. After a short stay in
Seville, he moved to a sum
mer resort near Malaga, on
the Mediterranean, where he
stayed for several months.
To Luxury Villa
Then, shortly before Easter
he moved to a luxury villa in
the outskirts of Madrid. And
finally, he hired an apartment
in one of the most expensive
quarters of Madrid.
What does Peron think of
his chances of returning to
power in Argentina?
"We are in no hurry," he
says. "If it is not today, it will
be tomorrow, or the . next
month or within a year . . ."
, Peron claims that 70 per
cent of the Argentine people
want his return, or, at least,
the return of his doctrines.
In the last election, the num
ber of blank votes that Peron
istas claimed were theirs was
over two million.

tinues to be as quiet as when
he arrived.
Goes To Theater
He has never been seen in
any night club, although he
often goes to the theater and
to the movies.
He also likes to walk for
some three hours every day,
one and a half hours in the
morning, and the same after
nightfall.
"Walking keeps me fit," he
often says.
He has his meals early in
the best Argentine tradition.
During the day, he answers
letters from his supporters
and talks to some admirers

Two Charged With
Burglary of Shop
Two men charged with the
burglary of a Sams Valley
shop Dec. 1 were bound over
to the grand jury by District
Court Judge L. L. Sawyer
when they appeared in court
yesterday.
Charles Laurence Pittman,
2985 Sunnyvale dr., Central
Point, and James Earl Raines
Central Point, both waived
privileges of having attorneys
and preliminary hearings
They are being held in the
Jackson county jail in lieu
of SI. 500 bail each.
A third man, Gerald Lee
Donaldson, 408 Benson st.
Medford, also admitted taking
part in the burglary. How
ever, Donaldson was charged
with forging a S40 check Feb.
4 and was bound over to the
grand jury. He waived right
lo an attorney and a prelim
inary hearing. He is being
held in the county jail in lieu
of S1.000 bail.
