Dog and Donkey

Players are divided into two relay teams.
One team wears grocery bags (with slits .
cut in them to see through) which have dog
faces drawn on them. The other team wears
bags with donkey faces. Two stout boxes
mark the goals some 15 or 20 feet away.
As each player reaches his goal, he has
to jump on it and bark like a dog or bray
like a donkey. Then he races back and tags
the next player. When all have played,
teams switch bags and repeat, but the don
keys are now dogs and the dogs are don
keys. First to finish without a mistake wins.
A Valentine Jigsaw

Have some red cardboard hearts already
cut out, each at least five inches long. Cut
each heart in the same way into about 10
odd shapes.
Give each player the cut-up pieces in an
envelope. The back of a magazine, the floor,
or a table can be used to assemble them,
and the first one who puts his heart together
is the winner! y

Cross Your Heart

Find your heart and cross it fast
So your team won't come in last!
Tor this Valentine game, cut a paper heart
for each player. Write a letter of the alpha
bet on each heart. Whisper to each player a
different letter of the alphabet.
Divide the players into two teams. Line
them up in two rows on opposite sides of
the room. On a table between the two teams
place two crayons or pencils and a bowl
containing the hearts, well mixed.
At the word "Go," a player from each
side runs to the table to find the heart with
his letter the one whispered to him on it
If he does, he draws a cross on it and runs
back to tag the next player who then tries
his luck. Crossed hearts are tossed back in
the bowl. The team to finish first wins.
