A pelilion urging the estab
lishment of a pick-up service
and adequate shelter for all
"unwanted" animals is now
being circulated before heing
presented to the county court.
The petition states that
". . . unwanted animals shall
be held, in said shelter for a
period of at least five clays
before being disposed of hu
manely. "Such service (is) to be un
der the supervision of a board
created by the court which
shall include not less than
two members active in the
field of humane work andor
the Cat Care society, a duly
incorporated body, under the
Laws of the State of Oregon."
