ZORAH 1. WILEY
Rogue River - Mrs. James
(Zorah) Bliss Wiley, 89, ot
route 1, box 23, Rogue River,
died Jan. 11 at her home. She
was born Sept, 9. 1871, in
Wayne County, Iowa.
Zorah Bliss moved to Med
ford in 1889 and married
James Wiley in 1897. She
lived in Rogue River for the
past 40 years.
Survivors include a daugh
ter, Mrs, Reed Carter, Rogue
River; one son, C. M. Wiley,
McCloud, Calif.; two sisters,
Mrs. James Whipple, Rogue
River, and Mrs. Hattie Har
ris, Lewiston, Idaho, three
grandchildren, and seven
great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
held at the L. B. Hall funeral
chapel. Grants Pass, Satur
day, Jan. 14, at 11 a.nj. with
the Rev. D. F. Barnett of the
Bethany Presbyterian church
officiating. Interment will be
in Mountain View cemetery,
Ashland.

The meeting of the Butter
Buns Cooking club was called
to order. Eleven members
were present. The flag salute
leader was Judy Franek, The
next meeting will be held
Feb. 6 at Phyllis Brown's
house. Members of the club
sang a song and played
games. Refreshments were
served.

met Tuesday, Jan. 10, at the
home of the leader, Mrs. J. R.
Wilson. There were six mem
bers present.
We dressed a 4-H family for
a display in the library.
The next meeting will be
Jan. 24. Each member is to
take four finger lip towels and
two matching wash cloths for
the barbecue place mats.

Sheep club met at the home
of Jan Main on Jan. 7. Twenty
members and the leader, Mrs.
E. B. Gibson, were present.
We studied how to tell
sheep s age by its teeth. We
talked about having the coun.
ty agent out at one of our
meetings. We discussed col
lecting pop bottle and putting
the money into our treasury.
