The editors will assemble at
Columbia March 9-10 for the
judging process and their rec
ommendations in eight jour
nalism categories will be for
warded for final selection and
approval to , the advisory
board on the Pulitzer prizes
and the university's board of
trustees.
To Consider Entries
The jurors will consider en
tries for the Pulitzer prizes
In the categories of public
service, local reporting under
edition pressure, local report
ing not under edition pres
sure, national reporting, in
ternational reporting, edito
rial writing, cartoonists' work
and news photography.
The jurors submit two to
five recommendations in each
category, without necessarily
indicating order of preference,
to the advisory board, which
may select, accept or reject
them.

Scout Roundtable
"Safe Shooting" will be the
February theme highlighted at
the Boy Scout Roundtable
meeting Thursday, Jan. 5, at
the Hecrick Junior High
school In Medford at 7:30 p.m.
Scoutmasters are invited to
bring their guns for exhibit
but are asked to please leave
the ammunition home. Actual
demonstrations will be used
to explain the proper way to
first steps to take in handling
a gun, proper way to carry a
gun, handing a gun to another
person, crossing a fence, clean
ing gun bore and mechanism,
sight adjustment, and aiming
and holding guns in different
positions.
A discussion of the forth
coming Boy Scout Week and
window display will be In
cluded in the program, accord
ing to Assistant District Com
missioner David Harbison.
The Boy Scout Roundtables
are designed for all Scoutmas
ters, assistant Scoutmasters
and the troop committeemen
who are urged to take advan
tage of this training program
to aid their local troop program,
