its midget basketball league
on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 1
p.m. at the Y gym.
All boys between the ages
of 8 and 11 who are Y mem
bers are eligible to -partici
pate. On Saturday boys will
he placed on a team. They
will be taught the funda
mentals of basketball in their
regular Y gym classes In the
morning, then each Saturday
afternoon each team will be
scheduled to play one game,
There will be one round
robin tournament for regu
lar season play and during
the Christmas holidays the
four top teams will play-off
a single elimination tourna
ment. Awards will be given
to the two top teams, to the
team for sportsmanship and
to the team that has the best
attendance at all games.
The purpose of this league
Is to help develop the boys
in sportsmanship and Chris
tian personality and to teach
each Individual the funda
mentals of the game.
