Holiday Cookery
To Be Subject
Five minute talks by mem
bers of the Rogue Valley
Herb Society wil be part of
the Tuesday, November 15
meeting at 1:30 p.m. at the
home of Mrs. L. W. Ling
scheit, Hillcrest road.
The talks will be about
what herbs were used in holi
day cookery in Denmark,
Sweden, France, England and
Germany and how each coun
try celebrates the holidays.
Roll call will be answered
by a superstition concerning
culinary herbs. Each member
is to take herb cookies for the
tea, and dried seed pods for
display.
During the afternoon a Har
vest home festival auction
will be held.
At the last meeting Mrs.
Thelma Thomas spoke on
Yarrow and Its uses. Herb
bread and cookies were
served with herb tea.

bethel of the International
Order of Job's Daughters, ob
served its charter night No
vember 11 at the Masonic
temple. Three new members
were initiated and members
of the guardian council were
installed. Forty-one girls are
on the charter list.

L. R. Manning, Medford, as
sociate grand guardian, pre
sented the charter to the new
group. Honored Queen Janet
Turner conducted the
meeting.
