Bomb Hoax Brings
Help for Charity
Los Angeles -IUPD- Stanley
W. Carlson, 27, of Greenfield,
Calif., was ordered by a judge
Thursday, to donate $10
monthly to a charity for five
years.
The unusual sentence fol
lowed Carlson's conviction of
making a false report June 16
that a bomb was on an air
plane. U.S. District Judge William
C. Mathes said Carlson could
make the payments to the
charity of his choice. The
judge gave him a suspended
one-year jail sentence.
