ern Rhodesia left seven per
sons killed, at least 82 injured
and more than 100 arrested.
All but three of the casual-,
ties were reported in the
Salisbury African township
of Harare.
In Gwelo. an African na
tionalist National Democratic
Party meeting erupted into
further looting and arson Sun
day night. Several buildings
were burned and three per
sons injured - none seriously
- when police opened fire on
