Greater Formality Trend for Fashion
Greater formality Is the
trend in fashions for autumn's
brides. Cathedral trains, prin
cess silhouettes with elabor
ate detailing of lace and em
broidery, distinguished Eliza
bethan era and Victoria styl
ing glorify wedding gowns.
Although traditionally clas
sic lines prevail, modern
touches suggest a new-in-fashion
look. Long torso shap
ing Is evident In gowns with
lace bodices dipping low in
front and back. From the low
ered line of the bodice, a
magnificent fullness of gath
ered taffeta or silk swoops
down Into a regal train.
Square shaped trains,
blending Into tunic fronts of
princess dresses, give a court
ly appearance.
Controlled skirts with flat
front silhouettes, rounded
sides and burst of draping in
the back, impressive tiers,
tulip and bell skirts, self
fabric sashes that form back
panels, bustle bow backs,
dress and jacket bridal cos
tumes, removable long skirts
are among the newest fashion
treatments of bridal gowns.
Scalloped necklines, cither
round or V-shaped; long, slim
sleeves and ' short, pouffed
ones are part of the traditional
bridal picture.

New York - (DPI) - There's
no doubt about the future of
electronics, but there is one
segment of this group that

others - mi

radio waves,

grown into a
$2 billion in

their uses in
commerce, defense and space
exploration are extending at
a fantastic rate.
As industry turns more and
more to automatic controls
and devices, the reliance on
microwaves will increase.
Communication and control
are the two keys of science
and business in the modern
world, and microwaves are

The commission will re

FXR noted, even longer mi

Microwaves reach into the

of medical research. FXR
said recent studies indicate
they can cause molecular

have been used to precisely
destroy cancer cells without

Furniture Colors

already 30 per cent of cross

In data processing, micro

to high speed computers at
the rate of 75,000 words a

New Communication Vistas
Thousands of microwave
messages can be carried in
the space of an ordinary ra

FXR. This, it said, led the
Federal Communications com
mission to a tentative ruling
recently that opened blocks
of new microwave frequen

For businessmen, FXR
said, this is tantamount to a
system of low-cost private
telephone lines in the sky.
