Antelope Club Member Is
Champion Revue Exhibitor
Jo Anna Malloroy, Antelope
club, was named champion
Style Revue exhibitor and
champion of the Clothing V
class at the Jackson County
4-H and FFA fair Friday night
during the annual 4-H Style
Revue and awards program in
the National Guard Armory
south of Medford
She was presented the large
perpetual trophy donated by
the Medford branch of the
U.S. National Bank of Port
land. Colleen F r a n e k, Central
Point, received the sterling
silver pie server as the girl
with the highest overall score
in food preservation, and
Carol Myers McDowell, Table
Eock, received the sterling sil
ver vase as the girl with the
highest overall score in the
home living exhibit, contest,
demonstration and judging.
Special Award
The J. C. Penney special
award went to Mary Ann Car
negie, Medford, and Karen
Jossy, Eagle Point, as out
standing clothing club mem
bers. The two girls will re
ceive two summer school
scholarships.
The Larry Schade perpetual
trophy went to Alice Woolfolk
as the outstanding cooking
club member. Karen Jossy,
Antelope, also won the Doreen
Bohnert trophy as the indi
vidual in the home economics
judging contest with the high
est average score earned in
two or more project contests.
The Foley Manufacturing
company award for foods
went to Patsy Charley, Cen
tral Point, and the company
award for food preservation
to Paulette Creel.
The Safeway Stores, Inc.,
home economics award for the
best food preservation went to
Georgia Hubbard and Alice
Woolfolk. The two girls re
ceived $5 toward summer
school scholarship.
Judy Hill, Antelope, won
the Oregon Beekeepers' asso
ciation award for the best food
preservation or food prepara
tion demonstration.
Cow Belles Award
The Oregon Cow Belles
award of $5 and beef cook
book went to Donna Geren,
Eagle Point, high score indi
vidual in food preparation and
to Carol Foote, Central Point,
as second high score indi
vidual. Alice Woolfolk, Antelope,
won the Cow Belles best of
show in yeast breads award of
52.50 and a beef cook book.
