The bride is the former
Kathryn Louise Minica,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E.
L. Wilcox, Inglewood, Calif.,
and the bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd T.
Wood, San Diego.
Mr. Wilcox gave his step
daughter in marriage. She

Cave Junction - Mr. and

weeks.
The group went salmon
fishing near Eureka, Calif.,
recently and were guests of
Mrs. Elsie Yarbrough.

The bridegroom's parents are
Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Emden,
Cedar Grove, N.J.
The vows were read by the
Rev. H. C. Coovert at two
o'clock in the afternoon. Pink
and white gladioli and carna
tions decorated the church.
The bride wore ' a pastel
pink street-length gown of
sheer nylon over pink taffeta,
with pink satin accessories.
Her flowers were pink and
white carnations with a cas
cade of stephanotis.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Reynolds
attended the couple and Mel
vin G. Frick, Central Point,
brother of the bride, and John
Austbo were ushers. Mrs.
Reynolds wore a dress of pale
yellow dimity. Her flowers
were white carnations with
yellow rosebuds.
Miss Nancy Frick, niece of
the bride, was candlelighter.
Miss Linda Severson, sister of
the bride, was at the guest
book and Miss Ruth Coovert
played the organ.
Mrs. Arthur Taylor, Cedar
Grove, N.J., the bridegroom's
aunt, cut the cake at the re
ception which followed at the
church. Mrs. Gus Priebe, Myr

The newlyweds traveled to
southern California and Mexi
co on their wedding trip, the
bride wearing a pink travel

The bridegroom attended
Paul Smith's college, New
York, and Utah State univer
sity. He ,is a forester with
the bureau of land manage
ment. Out-of-town guests at the
wedding included the bride
groom's parents and his uncle
and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur
Taylor, Cedar Grove, N.J.,
and Gus Priebe, Myrtle Point

A reception held August 7 at the Pythian building hon
ored Mr. and Mrs. J. L, Cook on their golden wedding
anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Cook, who were married in
Marysville, Mo., have lived in Medford 25 years.
Reception Honors Cooks
Jacksonville - Mr. and Mrs.
J. L. Cook, 400 Oak street,
were honored August 7 at a
reception which observed
their golden wedding anni
versary. The event was held
in the Pythian hall, Medford,
Main and Bartlett Streets
with a group of Pythian Sis
ters in charge. Mrs. Cook has
been a member of the lodge
for many years.

punch and Mrs. W. L. Mi
chael, the coffee. Mrs. Curtis
took charge of gifts and her
daughter, the guest book.
Mrs. Howard J. Veal sang
a group of favoriate songs,
and Mrs. Edward Bostwick
accompanied her. Mrs. Ida
Ireland gave a reading in the
couple's honor.
Mrs. Harry Bryant was
chairman in charge of ar
rangements and she was as
sisted by Mrs. P. M. Aldredge
and Mrs. W. A. Grochocki.
About 65 guests attended the
reception.
Mr. and Mrs. Cook were
married in Marysville, Mo., In
1910 and have lived in Med
ford the past 25 years. They
were the original owners of
Cooks Beauty shop. ,
