San Diego-flJPl)-What would

Trudeau, head of research

such a massing of ussian

of the future.

"I haven't worked with a
comedienr in picture for
10 years," Bob said. "And the
last gal I worked with was
Lucille. The pictures were
'Fancy Pants' and 'Sorrowful
Jones.'
"Thanks to all her exper
ience in 'I Love Lucy,' Lucille
has improved tremendously
as a comedienne. Right now
she is one of the grtest
comediennes in history.
Requires Hard Work
"Like anything else, com
edy is $ result of hard, gruel- j
ing work. Practical exper
ience makes the difference
between a comic and an ac
complished comedian. It takes
years to develop the right
timing and the ability to tell
where the laughs are in your
audience.
"When you work wit
another comedian you often
discover a sympathico in
which you find yourself get
ting as much of a kick out of j
helping the other person come !
up with a laugh as you do
for yourself. j
"It was that way with Bing
and me, and the same thing
has happened with Lyille.
"And she has a wonderful
thing going for her. Most
comediennes lost their femi
ninity. But not Lucy. She is
a valuable romantic co
medienne who can play lovrt
scenes as wen as comedy.
