land Better Business Bureau
and Don McNeil, manager of
the Medford Chamber of Com
merce. According to reports, Wil
liam Williamson and Thomas
Williamson are soliciting roof
spraying jobs, and another
Williamson, using the initials
B. L. and claiming to repre
sent the Carlton Import com
pany, is offering "imported"
fabrics at $16 a yard.
The Portland bureau said
the younger Williamsons are
apparently operating from a
: late model blue pick-up truck
and work as painters or roof
ers and victimize home own
ers by spraying a mixture of
crankcase oil and pigment on
the customer's roof.

prices ranging between $50
and $160, using stories about
being "broke and finding it
necessary to sell family treas
ures to buy food for their
hungry children.''
The merchandise is machine
made, and the "priceless" ta
blecloths are purchased from
suppliers at a fraction of the
price asked, the Portland bu
reau noted

is "imported all-wool" fabrics
for men's suits. Generally the
fabrics are covered with fake
stencils indicating the goods
are all-wool and from either
England or Scotland, the bu

for 50 cents to a $1 a yard,
