ford Library park. Mrs. Thomas D. Grissom (right) is pub
licity chairman for lha show, spontorad by lha Southern
Oregon Society of Artists. Paintings and sculpture will be
shown in the park from 10 a.m. to 5 p. m. Saturday, July
IB. Members of the Senior Activity center have accepted
an invitation to exhibit their art work at the show. Society
members Mrs. A. R. Schoenberg, Clifford Platx, Mrs, Tom
Slaley, Mrs, Ross Twedell and Mrs, Nettie Williams have
helped with the center's classes. Another show it planned
by the society for Ashland Lithia park during the Shake
spearean festival. Alto planned for southern Oregon art
lovers is the 13th annual southern Oregon art exhibit
sponsored by the Grants Pass branch of the American At
tociation of Univertity Women. It will be held Augutt 5,
t and 7 at the girlt gymnasium at Grants Past High school.

evening after spending two
weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Jack
Grow and Mr. and Mrs. Bill

of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Grow.
Crater Lake highway, and

Couple Take Canada Trip

Ashland Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond Eby are making a
trip to Canada following their
wedding Sunday, June 20, in
Ashlund Methodist church.
The bride Is the former Mrs.
Muttle Anderson, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Gray Moore, 195
Garfield street.
Dr. P. Malcom Hammond
performed the double-ring
ceremony at 2:30 o'clock in
the afternoon before a setting
of pink and white gladioli,
ereenery and candelabra.
The bride, who was attend
ed by her duughter, Miss Jan-
Is Anderson, wore an after
noon dress of uink nylon. It
was designed with three-quar
ter length sleeves, an empire
waistline, and pink satin cum
merbund. She carried a rose
bud nosegay.
Miss Anderson wore a yel
low dress of summer cotton,
with a full sKirt and lined
bodice. She carried a nosegay
of gardenias. The bride's
mother wore a blue and white
iackct dress with a cornation
corsage.
David Thompson, Ephrata,
Wash., served as best man.
Steven Carroll and Dustin
Gcrbing, Eagle foini, were
ushers. William ueeson piay
ed the organ.
A reception followed in the
fireside room of the church.
Mrs. Robert Mullin and Mrs.
Bccson served cake and Mrs.
Bcrnyl Slcad poured punch,
Mrs. Jack Weaver was in
charge of the guest book. Mrs.
George Fuller, cousin 0f the
bride, was hostess. Mrs. David
Thompson served the bride
grooms cake and Miss Pat
Childrcth was at the gift
table. Mrs. Dennis McCoy,
Mrs. Eurl Oden and Mrs. W.
B. Martin were In charge of
floral arrangements. Mrs. Wal
ler Bosshard assisted with
plans for the wedding.
The bride formerly was em
ployed by Rogue Valley Coun
try club and is now hostess
at the Ashland Elks Dining
room. The bridegroom is a
purchasing agent for Chcrf
Brothers and Sankay Con
struction, Ephrata, Wash.
Former Classmates
Applegate Valley - Mr. and
Mrs. John Pugh and Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Kilgore of Rush-
sylvania, Ohio, were recent
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bert
Harr. Mrs. Pugh and Mrs.
Harr were high school class
mates In Ohio in 1907. Tht
travelers continued to Wash
ington to visit relatives.

to their home following a five
day visit with relatives in
Medford. They wora house
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Michael, 475 Charlotte Anna
road. Mrs. Helsten and Mrs,
Michael are sisters.
They will make their home
at 1001 East Main street.
The bride's brother-in-law
and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil!
Clark, and family traveled
here from Texas for the wedding.

last month and have been
staying with his brother and

Jack Grow, Eagle Point. The
couple brought their trailer
home and left for Alaska
Thursday, July 7.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Scarls, El Scgundo, arrived
July 6 and accompanied the
Grows to Alaska where they
plan a n extended vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Grow stayed
in Eagle Point about three
months last year.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Frel.
La Crosse, Wis. arrived last
month to spend six weeks
with their son and family,
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Frei of
South C street, Eagle Point,
before continuing to Washing
ton to visit relatives there.

The Albert Freis stayed in
Eagle Point about six months
four years ago.
Art Show to
Open Monday
At Campus
Ashland - Warren Wolf, art
instructor at Medford High
school the past eight years,
will be featured at the Rogue
Valley Artists show on the
Southern Oregon college cam
pus Monday, July 11, at 4 p.m.
All interested persons arc
invited to hear a lecture by
Mr. Wolf and to see the dis
play, according to Dr. Alvin
Fellers. SOC director of stu-,
dent affairs.
Mr. Wolf received his bache- j
lor's degree from the Univer
sity of Oregon and his mas
ter's degree from the Kansas
City, Mo., Art Institute, where
he also taught.
His work has been display
ed at such shows as Art USA,
New York City; contcmpora-l
ry church art exhibit, Grace
cathedral, ban trancisco; au
west coast show, Seattle; and
a show in Rochester, N. Y.,
where he was the only west
erner represented.
He is a member of the
Rogue Valley Art association.
The exhibit will be in the art
gallery of the Britt building
after a lecture in the lounge
on Monday.
