will affect the headache.
Worse yet, usually, when in
desperation I try out a num
ber of remedies for pain and
nervous tension, she reports
that every one of them work
ed wronKly, and perhaps even
knocked her out. Some high
ly nervous women commonly
react so peculiarly and wrong
ly to drugs that I know all I
need to know about them the
minute they tell me that mor
phine makes them want to
climb the walls like a crazed
cat; or. a barbiturate makes
them wide awake, or a tran
quilizer makes them want to
fight everyone!
One thing 1 have found is
that many of the women with
a constant headache or a con
stant pain of any kind have
one or more psychotic rela

A performer, who owned
and trained wild animals, put
on his show between halves
of a professional football
game. The game was filmed
and later used on a television
program which included the
half-time entertainment. The
performer had not given his
permission for the taking or
the showing of the pictures.
He sued the team owners un
der a statute designed to pro
tect a person's right of
privacy.
The statute provided that
the name or picture of a per
son could not be used for ad
vertising without his consent.
Advertisements were run dur
ing the telecast and one pre
ceded the performer's act, but
no reference was ever made
to the act. The New York
Court held that the team own
ers had not interfered with
the performer's right of pri
vacy and had not used his
picture for advertising pur
poses. Proper Subject
Courts have long recognized
that the use of a name or
picture In a newspaper, maga
zine or newsreel in connection
with an item of news or one
that Is newsworthy is not a
use for "purposes of trade"
within the meaning of such
statutes as in this case. The
New York Court pointed out
that a public figure, or a per
son pri-senlly newsworthy, is
a proper subject of news or

am sorry to have to admit
that I have never found a good
remedy for a constant pain
or distress.
I think that generally, when
people say they have a Char
ley horse, they mean they
have a sore muscle in a leg.
I remember a man limping
about who told me he had got
ten a Charley horse while
playing tennis too violently on
the first day in Spring, when
the nets were put up at the
club. Perhaps he pulled in two
some of the muscle fibers in
his legs. This is supposed to
be done sometimes by athletes
as they make a tremendous
effort to start in a 100-yard
race. In other cases, the Char
ley horse may be due partly
to great effort, and partly to
a basic tendency to fibrositis
-a disease something like arth
ritis. The treatment should be
rest, heat, and possibly light
massage.

Not Tested in Oregon
A public personage or an
actual participant In a public
event, of course, may be treat
ed Individually without inter
fering with his right of pri
vacy. Cases in this area have not
yet been presented to the Ore
gon Supreme Court. There is
no reason to believe that the
Oregon Court would depart
from the holdings in oilier
states when faced with ques
tions of this nature. Usually
a person must expect to be
treated as anyone else In a
crowd or gathering of people.
However, a person can expect
that others, including camera
men, will not interfere with
his right of privacy by singl
ing him out in a crowd.
