WHAT BIRD IS IT?

What a sweet whistling call this gay-colored bird
has! Often he is seen flying toward his nest, a little
woven hammock swinging way up on a tall tree
top. The nest is so strong it doesn't break even
during the stormy winds of winter.
This shy little eight-inch bird goes north for the
summer and south for the winter just as his cous
ins do. You can find him in orchards or gardens,
dining on fruit and honey. His meat course pleases
the farmer because he eats insects that destroy
crops. The scientific name of this bird is ICTERUS
GALBULA. Can you guess his everyday name and
color him in his own beautiful colors?
