Umatilla-OlPU-Fire leveled a
supermarket in this Eastern
Oregon town of 850 Saturday
night and flumes melted the
town's telephone line.
Police said the market, own
ed by Jack Stewart, was burn
ed to the ground. The tele
phone line into Umatilla was
in front of the store.

The Medford school will be
held in the basement of the
Adventist church located at
Edwards and Beatty sts. and
will be for all children aged
four to 14.
The Valley View school
will be In the old building at
Rogue River Junior academy,
near the church on South
State rd. for all children ages
four to 12.
Sessions will be conducted
from 9 to 12 noon, Monday
through Friday for a two-
week period. Bible stories, na
ture study, and crafts will be
featured on the general sub
ject, "God's Wonderful
World."
Mrs. Clarence Hayward is
the director of the Medford
Bible school. At the Valley
View school Mrs. Burton
Brooks Is the director.
