ers growers should use 8
pounds of DDT plus 10
pounds of malathion or 6
pounds of parathion or EPN
per acre for control of codling
moth and psylla. If Tcdion is
to be used for mite control,
add 8 pounds per acre.

malathion or 1 pound para
thion or EPN per 100 gallons
If Tedion is to be used, add
1 i pounds per 100 gallons.
On apples, they advise us

When orchards adjoin pas
tures or hay crops onto which
the spary may drift use only

12 pounds per 100 gallons

every precaution to minimize
drift.
One to 2 ounces of spreader
sticker per 100 gallons is de
sirable, they advised.

service, just the Yellow Cab
company. Since the Airport
Limousine service has start
ed operations the Yellow Cab
company has also started op
erating a limousine at the air
port. Grossly Unfair
Courtright said, "it seems
to me that to restrict Jones'
limousine service and none
of the others would be gross
ly unfair."
City Attorney Joel Rcedcr
pointed out to the council that
the limousine service is lic
ensed under the taxi-cab pro
vision in the city code. He
said there is no destinction
between taxi-cabs and limou
sines in the code.
Hanson said he feels the
council should take some ac
tion in order to clarify the
intent of the council at the
time it granted Jones a li
cense to operate the limou
sine service. He said that if
Jones wants a taxi-cab license
he should apply for it.
Councilman R. L. Van
Sickle said the council has ap
parently given them a license
to do "everything" whether
it intended to or not. They
already have a taxi-cab license
he added, and said he is not
sure that anything can be
done about It.
An attorney for the Yellow
Cab company said that com
pany had a limousine for
some time but used It only
when necessary, prior to the
start of the Airport Limou
sine service.
Mayor John Snider said the
council's "first concern is for
the public." He said that the
recent extent of competition
for passengers at the airport
does "not make a good ap
pearance." Commitlee Consideration
Van Sickle moved that the
matter be referred to the ex
ecutive committe for further
study, and the council unan
imously concurred in this.
A request from the law of
fices of Day and Courtright
that the city provide for reg
ulation of ground transporta
tion service at the airport
was also referred to the ex
ecutive committee for study.
City Manager Robert A.
Duff noted that the city ad
ministration would have some
suggestions for things which
could be done to improve the
situation at the airport.
In other cab company busi
ness, the council denied a re
quest from Courtesy Cab com
pany that it be allowed to
have the exclusive use of two
more curb parking spaces,
The council said that the one
they already have should be
enough.
It was also recommended
that the company not be al
lowed to rent meter "hoods."
