for 20 highway, brdige, traf-

son and Josephine counties,
according to the commission!
The commission will re

Jackson county.
One project calls for flat
tening of the sharper curves
on Crater Lake highway be
tween Trail and McLeod. The
work is planned to improve
the alignment and sight dis

way. Widening work will be
completed by the fall of 1960.
The other project calls for
the grading and paving of
5.48 miles of the Lake of the
Woods highway from a point
near the Hanley ranch, about
12 miles southeast of Eagle
Point, and easterly to the
Rogue River Forest boundary.
The western 2.2 miles will
have a 22-foot paved roadway
with 8-foot shoulders while
the eastern 3.3 miles will
have a 33-foot paved road
way, two lanes for eastbound
traffic and one lane for west
bound traffic. The new con

scheduled to be completed in
the summer of 1961.
Interstate Route
The commission will also
receive bids for paving the
previously graded section of
the new interstate route of
the Pacific highway between
the North Grants Pass inter
change and the bridge over
Evans creek at the town of
Rogue River.
The plans call for the tra

divided highway to be paved
with concrete and the shoul
ders to be surfaced with as-
phaltic concrete.
Included in the project are
plans for the construction of
grade separation structures
on Beacon dr., over a connect
ing leg of the East Grants
Pass interchange, and over
Foothills boulevard at both
Jones creek and Bloody Run
creek.
The other structures neces
sary for the completion of
this section of new highway
are already under contract.
Signing of the highway is
also to be done under the con
tract for this project.
All work on the project, In-
eluding paving, structures
and signing is scheduled to be
completed by fall of 1961.
