A hefty hippopotamus!
In minutes you can make a very real
looking carnation, using only one pipe
cleaner (green, if you can find it) and
two sheets of facial tissue. They can be
any color, but the most realistic effect is
obtained with one pink and one white
sheet. Flatten out the two tissues; place
one on top of the other and fold them in
half together. Fold again to make a
square. Now pleat the paper in -inch
Bell Tag
By Nat Bradford
All players, except IT, are blindfolded.
IT wears a bell around his neck that rings
as he moves. The blindfolded players try
to catch IT. The one who does wins five
points and is IT for the next game. The
winner of the game is the one who gets
the most points. This game is best when
played in a clear, open space.
folds to look like a fan. Wind the pipe
cleaner around the middle of the "fan"
and twist it tigh'tly. Spread out the pleats
and tear 'i inch off the edge, all the way
around. Then carefully separate the lay
ers of tissue, pulling each toward the cen
ter, so they stand up like thin petals. The
twisted pipe cleaner is, of course, the
stem. When you're finished, you have a
lifelike carnation.
