The two-hour tours give the
young sters opportunity to
learn about fire prevention
and control, pre-commerclal

mas tree production, seed
and tree planting, tree identi
fication, 4-H forestry, soils,
commercial thinning and for
est products marketing.

ment of Interior reports.
The information is based
on the annual winter survey
made by Interior's Bureau of
Sport Fisheries and Wildlife.

dropped 73 per cent below

duck, were down 28 per cent

creases were mallards, down
22 per cent; greenwinged teal,
down 32 per cent; bluewlnged
teal, down 44 per cent, and
pintails, down 27 per cent.
The black duck population
was not sufficiently high to
get out of the "same as last
year" category but wood
ducks were up 17 per cerjt.
