in Medford of Mr. and Mrs.
George Roberts, Crown ave
nue. Mr. Early is a brother of
Mrs. Roberts.
Mr. and Mrs. Roberts were
hosts Saturday, March 5, for
a cocktail and supper party
at their home to honor the
visitors, and the Earlys have
been honored at numerous
other parties.
The Roberts and the Ohio
couple will leave Monday for
Carmel, Calif., where they
will spend some time at the
Roberts' vacation home.

and Mrs. Eddie Mathern, 1070

held March 5 at First Presby
terian church.

ernoon. Mrs. Robert Sheldon
played the organ wedding
music. Baskets of pink and
white gladiolus, palms and
candelabras with lighted
white tapers decorated the
altar and church for the cere
mony. The bride wore a ballerina
length gown of Alencon lace
styled on princess lines. The
sweetheart neckline was re
embroidered with iridescent
sequins and her illusion veil,
trimmed with seed pearls, fell
from a lace and pearl bonnet.
She wore pearl earrings be
longing to her maternal
grandmother, and a penny in
her shoe. She carried a cas
cade bouquet of pink and
white carnations, hyacinths
and a white orchid.
Mr. Ross gave his daughter
in marriage.
Miss Barbara Marshall,
wearing a white lace baller
ina dress over blue taffeta,
was maid of honor. Mrs.
Charles Rowan and Miss
Karen Mathern, sister of the
bridegroom, were also attend
ants. They wore blue baller
ina length taffeta frocks with
pearl bandeaux and white
veils. All carried cascade bou
quets of pink and white car
nations. Richard Guches served as
best man. Ushers were Ed
ward Albright and Michael
Travis. Candlelighter was
Ralph Large.
Mrs. Ross chose for her
daughter's wedding an ivory
brocade sheath dress with por
trait collar and lavender ac
cessories. Her corsage was a
lavender orchid. Mrs. Ma
thern wore a blue sheath
jacket dress with pink acces
sories. Her corsage was of
pink cymbidium orchids.
Following the ceremony a
reception was held at the
church for 130 guests. Mrs.
J. W. Phillips, aunt of the
bride, and Mrs. Larry Wright
cut and served the wedding
cake. Mrs. Agnes Ackerman
and Mrs. Earl Tuttle presided
at the punch bowls. Miss Leah
Heath was m charge of the
guest book. Miss Sharon An
derson passed packets of rice
and Mrs. Richard Rankin was
at the gift table.
The couple traveled to sou
thern California on their wed
ding trip and will be at home
at 603 North Bartlett avenue
after March 14. For traveling
the bride wore a moss green
wool sheath dress with white
and black accessories and the
white orchid from her bridal
bouquet.
The bride is a graduate of
Medford High school and is
a telephone operator for Paci
fic Telephone and Telegraph
company. Mr. Mathern is a
graduate of Medford High
school and is attending Sou
thern Oregon college. He is
employed by Piggly Wiggly
Store.

grandfather of the bride, and

ford, grandmother of the
bridegroom. Out of town

church, Medford. The bride
is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Charles S. Taylor, route 1,
box 233. Mr. Rambo's parents
are Mr. and Mrs. Melbourne
G. Rambo, Mill City, Ore.

Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore an
ivory slipper satin gown
styled with basque bodice and
full gathered skirt. Her veil
of illusion was held by a tiara
and she carried white and
pink carnations encircling a
white orchid. She carried a
handkerchief which had been
carried by her grandmother,
Mrs. Olen Arnspiger, at her
wedding, by her mother, and
by her sister.
Mrs. Richard Gustafson was
matron of honor for her sis
ter. Bridesmaids were Miss
M a r c i a Uddenberg, Seattle,
and Miss Marilyn Watson,
Medford. Miss Laura Jo Ram
bo, Mill City, sister of the
bridegroom, was junior
bridesmaid. They wore green
satin frocks with white lace
overskirts. Their headdresses
were net and white flowers
and they carried cascade bou
quets of white carnations.
Dwane Miller, Glendale,
Ore., served as best man.
Seating the guests were Da
vid Straus, cousin of the
bride, and Richard Gustafson.
Following the ceremony a
reception was held at the Cen
tral Point Grange hall. Mrs.
Arthur Straus cut the tiered
wedding cake with an heir
loom knife loaned by W. J.
Warner. Serving cake was
Mrs. Frances Willett and Mrs.
Alford Taylor poured tea. The
three women are aunts of the
bride. Mrs. Lyle Shelton, Mill
City, presided at the punch
bowl and Miss Margaret Pen
dleton poured coffee. Miss
Joan Willett, Miss Pat Taylor,
Miss Kathryn Straus and Miss
Carol Straus were in charge
of the guest book and gifts.
For her daughter's wedding
and reception Mrs. Taylor
wore a turquoise print silk
dress with turquoise linen
duster. Her accessories were
white and she had a white
orchid corsage. Mrs. Rambo
chose a cocoa beige dress with
brown accessories and her
corsage was green orchids.
The newlyweds traveled to
San Francisco on their wed
ding trip. For traveling the
bride wore a navy blue suit
with matching accessories.
They are making their home
in Roseburg where Mr.
Rambo is program director
for radio station KYES. The
bride is a graduate of Crater
High school and was a stu
dent at Lewis and Clark col
lege, Portland. Mr. Rambo at
tended Mill City, Ore., High
school and Northwest Busi
ness School.

March 5 at Zion Lutheran
church. The bride is a daugh
ter of Mrs. W. G. McGuire, 909

son's parents are Mr. and Mrs.
Lewis M. Johnson, St. Paul,
Minn.
The Rev. H. C. Coovert of
ficiated at the double ring
ceremony held at three o'clock
in the afternoon. Miss Ruth
Coovert played the organ wed
ding music. White stock and
light blue iris decorated the
altar for the event attended
by 50 relatives and friends.
The bride, wore an after
noon length sheath frock of
powder blue brocade. The
sweetheart neckline and threer
quarter length sleeves were
trimmed with seed pearls. An
overskirt of white nylon im
printed . with white velvet
roses' was tied with a velvet
band which held a silver cross
borrowed from Miss Hazel Jo
Creel, one of the bridesmaids.
The bride's short veil was
held by a crown of white
daisies and she carried a bou
quet of white carnations, blue
corn flowers and lily of the
valley. Her jewelry included
an heirloom gold and pearl
cross.
Earl W. Lock, White City,
gave his niece in marriage.
Mrs. Jack Miller, Talent,
was matron of honor. Brides
maids were Miss Creel and
Miss Marlene Miller. They
wore white taffeta dresses
with teal blue or pink polka
dots with nylon chiffon over
skirts of matching pattern.
They carried bouquets of
white carnations.
Jack Miller, Talent, served
as best man and seating the
guests were Ronald McGuire,
brother of the bride, and
Charles R. Driskell, Jackson
ville. For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. McGuire chose a blue
knitted suit with matching ac
cessories. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ron
fort represented the bride
groom's parents, and Mrs. Ron
fort wore a navy blue suit
with white and blue accesso
ries. Both Mrs. McGuire and
Mrs. Ronfort wore corsages of
white carnations.

place room of the church. Mrs.
