Yale Students to
Appear in Court

Nineteen Yale University stu
dents, representing home
towns from coast to coast, go
to court today to answer
charges stemming from a
"morals complaint" which
rocked the school's 258-year-
old foundations.
The undergrads were all
charged with lascivious car
riage, a charge which could
result in six-month jail sen
tences or S500 fines, or both.
All were freed under bonds
of S500 when arrested.
The roundup of students be
gan following the disclosure
Jan. 14 that there had been
several incidents at Yale's
Calhoun College involving a
score of undergraduates and
a 14-year-old girl from near
by Hamden. School officials
had tried to keep the affair
quiet, but brought in city
police.
Det. Capt. William F. Holo
han, who headed the investi
gation, said the girl was
brought to the dormitory
twice and was involved in
"alleged intimacies" with a
number of students on each
occasion.

No bidder may withdraw his bid
after the hour set for the opening
thereof, or before the award of
the contract, unless said award is
delayed for a period of 30 days.
The Owner reserves the right
to reject any and all bids, to waive
any informality in bids received,
and to accept or reject any or all
items of any bid, unless the bid
der qualifies his bid by specific
limitations.
