Sunday he believed the name
of Sen. Wayne Morse would
be on the State's- Democratic
presidential primary ballot

cratic convention. Dimick is
chairman of the Douglas
County Democratic Central
Committee.

Thanksgiving Visits

Hornbrook - Whether they
went "over- the river and
through 'the woods" to eat
Thanksgiving dinner with rel
atives in the cities, or wheth
er the city relatives came here
to feast with their "country
cousins," Hornbrookers kept
the holiday in the traditional
fashion of family gatherings.
One of the largest of these
was the gathering of the Bray
clan at "Aunt Jennie's," the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Henley
Clawson, where 35 members
were able to be present this
year, 16 being unable to at
tend. Joining in the festivities
were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Bray and three children; Mr.
and Mrs. Gene Bray and five
children; Mr. and Mrs. Stan
ley Balfrey and two children;
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Wedin
and son, Mike ; Tyrer; the
Clawsons' daughter and her
family, Mr. and Mrs. "Rusty"
Seaman and three, children,
all of Yreka, and from Horn-,
brook, Mr. and Mrs. Bob
Cummins; Mr. and Mrs. Loren
Cummins and children, Loren
Howardand Jennifer, and Mr.
and Mrs.- Ivon Howard' and
her sister," Mrs. Dan Van Ger
pen, who is visiting here from
St. Joseph's, 111. -

first Thanksgiving "dinner in
their newly-completed" home
in Lodi, Calif., into which
they have just moved, Mr. and
Mrs. Bill Chapman and chil
dren, Johnny and Kitty, had
as holiday guests, his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Chapman.
They drove down Wednesday,
returning home Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ardon Burns
were . .Thanksgiving . dinner
guests in Redding of . their
son-in-law and daughter, Mr.
and Mrs. "Chuck" Dilley, and
son, Pete.
- Mrs. ' Minnie " Blooming
camp and son, Charles, had
Thanksgiving dinner 'at Bo
gus with Miss Elsie Bloom
ingcamp. They were accom
panied by a daughter, Mrs.
Marge Snyder, and children,
Karen and Victor, of Med
ford. Miss'Bloomingcamp is
an aunt of Charles and Mrs.
Snyder. '.'".
Mr. and Mrs. A. A. (Slim)
Protsman were guests over
the holiday of their son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Mel Cozzalio and three sons,
in Yreka. -
The Pete Fisher family had
her parents and brothers, Mr.,
and Mrs. L. E. Flack and Vir
gil and Audren all of Horse
Creek, as holiday dinner
guests.
Thanksgiving day guests of
Mr. and. Mrs. Romain Ward
and children were her brother-in-law
and sister, Mr, and
Mrs. Lee Spencer, of Yreka..
Mr. and Mrs. James Farmer
and son, Jerry, of Portland,
arrived Nov. 24 to spend the
holiday week, end with his
mother, Mrs. Frank Lowe,
and Mr. Lowe. Joining them
for Thanksgiving were her
two other sons and daughter-in-laws,
Mr. and Mrs. Wil
liam Farmer and sons of Red
ding, and Mr. and Mrs. Rob
ert Farmer and sons of Horn-
brook. The James Farmers

Master and sons, Steve, Gary
and Larry, were their son-in-law

Master'a brother-in-law and
sister, Mr. and Mrs.. Ernest
McBain and daughter, Narcie,
of - Yreka, and her brother,
Woodrow Clyburn of Klamath-

- Miss Mary Lee Rutledge, a
student at Chico State college,
spent the holiday week end at
home here with her parents,
sister, and brothers, Mr. and
Mrs. W. A. Rutledge and Ann,
David and John.
Following a - custom of
many years, the L. C. Walshes
and the Lauran Paines ob
served Thanksgiving together,
this year at the Paine home
in . Ft. Jones. Present also
were the Walsh's daughter,
Miss Share Walsh, and the
Paine's two sons, Lornie, a
student at Etna High school,
and Bob, a pre-med student
at the University of Oregon
at Eugene.

the holiday week end was
Mike Barnum, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Oscar Barnum. Mike is a
forestry major at Oregon
State college at Corvallis.
Mr. and Mrs. "Ike" Dooley
and sons made a week end
trip to Chico to see his par
ents, the H.' A. Dooteys. In
Marysville, they visited his
brother-in-law and sister, Mr.
and Mrs. Phil Longstaff, and
en route home they visited
Mrs. Dooley's brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Lee Crouch, in Redding.
. Three sisters who had not
been together for a number of
years, held a reunion the day
after Thanksgiving when
Penny Barnum took her
grandmother, Mrs. EUa Pratt,
to Biggs, Calif.,, to visit her
sister, Mrs. . Mattie Thomas.
Joining them was another sis
ter, Mrs. May Johnson, of Del
Rey, Calif., who came up with
a son, Merritt Johnson, also
of Del Rey, and a daughter,
Mrs. Bartholomew, and her
son, Dennis.
Mr. and Mrs. Dudley Kil-
lingsworth had Thanksgiving
dinner in Yreka with a son-in-law
and daughter, Mr. and

tion, initiate proceedings to vacate
the following described alleyway
within the City of Medford as the
same is designated and delineated
on the official plat thereof of rec
ord, to-wit:
A North-South alley, 130 feet in
length, in Block 44. Original
Town, of the City of Medford,
Oregon, running parallel to
. to North Fir Street and North
Grape Street, between Main
Street and Sixth Street,
and did provide for a public hear
ing to be held at the hour of 7:30
o'clock PJ4. on the 7th day of
January, 1960. in the Council
Chambers of the City Hall in the
City of Medford, Oregon for the
purpose of considering the vacation
of the adoption of an ordinance va
