Pick a Face
Here is a game that goes over big at any party. The day
before the party, gather up some magazines with pictures
of movie and television stars. Cut out the heads of those
you know. Now cut out some pictures of babies, men,
women, and children. Choose ones that are about the same
size as the stars. Cut away the faces, but not the hair, of
the babies, children, etc., and paste the face of a star in that
space. You will be surprised at how different and funny
familiar people can look.
Make a dozen or so of these and ask your guests to guess
who they are. Many will fail to recognize faces they know
very well. To be sure that you know who they are, keep a
private list for yourself, saying, for example, "Wyatt Earp
with bonnet and yellow curls," etc.

Eskimo village with just a
few halves of eggshells, some
cotton, and perhaps a small
mirror. Take the shells up
carefully, rinse well, and cut
around the jagged edge
where they were broken in
half, making them fairly
even. With a pencil, draw
lines up and across the shell
to make ice-block squares.
Darken a spot for the door.
Place the small mirror on a
table or tray, arrange cotton
around it for snow, and place
your igloos here and there to
resemble an Eskimo village.
