BOAT RAMP OUT
. Portland - Oregon anglers
are advised that a tremendous
land slide, which, occurred
about two weeks - ago has
knocked out the concrete boat
raniD at Owyhee reservoir.
Anglers are urged not to at
tempt a boat launching trom
this site. P. "W. Schneider,
state came director, said that
a large section of earth and
rock dropped out from under
ramp and settled into Owyhee
reservoir leaving acorn ou
yards of concrete hanging out
In mid air. In addition, tons
nt rock sloughed from the
steep banks above covering
the ramp with debris up to
5 feet in depth in some places
These barriers will remain in
place to prevent access to the
danger area.
